Bluetooth audio stuttering is a common issue on Windows 10. This article offers solutions to quickly fix the problem and restore normal audio.

Driver compatibility issues are one of the main causes of audio stuttering. Outdated drivers may not work properly with Windows 10. It is recommended to use Driver Sentry for automatic driver detection and updates, saving time and effort while avoiding the risk of downloading or installing incorrect drivers.

Download

Click the download button to get the latest version of Driver Sentry. After installation, open the software and click "Scan".

After scanning, a list of missing or outdated drivers will be displayed. Find the Bluetooth audio driver in the results and click the "Upgrade" button.

After the update is complete, it is recommended to restart your computer to ensure the updated drivers are applied correctly.

Open "Settings" > "Bluetooth & Other Devices".

Select the currently connected Bluetooth headphones or speakers, click "Remove Device", and then re-pair the device.

Open "Settings" > "System" > "Sound", and select your Bluetooth device.

Click "Device Properties" > "Advanced", and set the default format to 16-bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality) or a higher specification.

Press Win + X, select "Device Manager".

In the Bluetooth device list, right-click your Bluetooth adapter, select "Properties" > "Power Management", and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Right-click the volume icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar, and select "Open Sound Settings".

Ensure that the output device is set to your current Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

Select the Bluetooth audio device, click "Properties" > "Advanced", and check "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" and "Give exclusive mode applications priority".

In the Bluetooth device properties, go to the "Enhancements" tab, uncheck all enhancement options, and click "Apply".

Open "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Troubleshoot".

Click "Additional Troubleshooters", find Bluetooth, and select "Run the Troubleshooter".

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the fix and reconnect your Bluetooth device.

Ensure there are no obstacles, such as walls or metal objects, between the Bluetooth device and your computer.

Keep the device away from other wireless devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers or microwaves), as they can interfere with Bluetooth signals.

The distance between the Bluetooth device and your computer should be within 1-3 meters to maintain a stable signal.

If your Wi-Fi uses the 2.4 GHz band, try switching to 5 GHz to avoid interference between Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals.

Click the "Start" button, and select "Settings" > "Update & Security".

In the "Windows Update" section, click "Check for Updates".

If updates are available, click "Download and Install", and the system will automatically download and install the updated drivers.

After installation, restart your computer to apply the updates.
