Audio cutting off intermittently is a common issue in Windows 11. This article provides effective solutions to fix it and restore normal audio.

1. Update Audio Drivers

Outdated or corrupted audio drivers can be one of the primary causes of audio cutting off. Checking and updating audio drivers ensures compatibility with the system, which can effectively resolve audio interruption issues. It is recommended to use Driver Sentry to automatically detect and update drivers, saving time and effort while avoiding the risk of downloading or installing incorrect drivers.

Download

Click the download button to get the latest version of Driver Sentry. After installation, open the software and click "Scan".

Once the scan is complete, it will display any missing or outdated drivers. Find the audio driver in the results list and click the "Upgrade" button.

After the update is complete, it is recommended to restart your computer to ensure the updated drivers work properly.

2. Adjust Audio Settings

Right-click the volume icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar and select "Sound".

In the "Output" section, select your audio device.

Ensure the volume settings are appropriate, try adjusting the volume, and make sure mute is not enabled.

3. Disable Audio Enhancements

Press the Windows logo key + I to open Settings.

Go to the "System" tab, select "Sound", and then click "All sound devices".

Choose "Properties", scroll down and find "Audio Enhancements", and select "Off" from the dropdown menu.
