2) Check the application volume

Sometimes, individual applications may be individually muted even if the system volume is normal. Check the volume control within the application when playing media.

2. Software level checking

1) Update the sound card driver

Outdated or corrupted sound card drivers are a common cause of no sound. In order to help you quickly determine whether there is an abnormal sound card driver, we recommend that you can directly through Driver Sentry to scan and update the old version of the driver, including the sound card driver.

After the update is complete, restart your computer to make it take effect.

2) Check the audio settings and device manager

In "Control Panel", go to "Sound" settings, make sure the default playback device is correctly set to the device you want to output sound.
Open "Device Manager", check whether there is a device with a yellow exclamation mark under the category of "Sound, Video and Game Controllers", which means that there is a problem with the driver and it needs to be updated or reinstalled.

3) reset audio services

Sometimes, the Windows audio service is not running can also cause no sound.

Press the "Win + R" key combination to open the Run dialog, type "services.msc", and then press Enter to open the Services.

If you are using external speakers or headphones, please try to unplug these devices first, and use the built-in notebook speakers directly to test. This helps to determine whether the problem is in the computer or peripherals.

2) Built-in speaker check

Make sure the speakers are not physically clogged, such as dust or foreign objects that are blocking the sound from coming out. Blow gently or use a soft cloth to clean the speaker grille.

3) Interface and wiring check

If there is no sound from headphones or speakers connected through the headphone jack, check if there is any damage to the headphone jack, and try plugging in other devices to test if the interface is working properly.
