How to Fix Bluetooth Speaker No Sound Issue
Sudden sound loss in Bluetooth speakers is a common issue that can disrupt your experience. This article provides effective solutions to quickly restore your speaker's normal function and ensure high-quality audio.
1. Check Bluetooth Connection
Press Windows + I to open "Settings" and select "Devices".
Click on the "Bluetooth & other devices" tab and make sure the Bluetooth switch is turned on.
Find your speaker in the paired devices list and ensure its status shows as "Connected".
If not connected, click on the device name and select "Connect". If necessary, try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
2. Update Bluetooth Drivers
Outdated or corrupted Bluetooth drivers can cause connection instability and even prevent the Bluetooth speaker from working properly. Updating the Bluetooth drivers can help resolve the issue. We recommend using Driver Sentry to automatically detect and update drivers, saving you time while avoiding the risk of downloading or installing incorrect drivers.
Click the download button to get the latest version of Driver Sentry, install it, then open the software and click "Scan".
After scanning, it will show which drivers need to be installed or updated. Find the Bluetooth driver and click the "Upgrade" button.
After the update is complete, restart your computer to ensure the new drivers take effect.
3. Restart Device and Speaker
Turn off both your device and Bluetooth speaker.
Disconnect the device's Bluetooth, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on.
Turn on the speaker and reconnect the device.
Check if the speaker is playing audio normally.
4. Reset Default Audio Output Device
Right-click the volume icon in the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings".
In the "Output" section, click the dropdown under "Choose your output device".
Select your Bluetooth speaker as the default output device.
Ensure no other device is overriding the speaker's audio output.
5. Check Speaker Audio Settings
Press Windows + R, type "mmsys.cpl", and press Enter to open the "Sound" settings.
In the "Playback" tab, find your Bluetooth speaker, right-click, and select "Properties".
In the "Advanced" tab, ensure the correct audio format is selected.
Click the "Test" button to confirm the speaker is playing sound.
6. Check Volume Settings
Ensure the volume is turned up on both the device and the speaker.
Press Windows + I, go to "System", then click on "Sound".
Make sure the "Output Volume" slider is set to an appropriate level.
7. Check Bluetooth Speaker's Status
Check if the speaker's indicator light is on, confirming it's in pairing mode.
Pair the speaker with another device (such as a phone) to test if it plays sound normally.
If the speaker works on another device, the issue may lie with your computer or audio settings.
8. Run Troubleshooter
Press "Windows + I" to open "Settings", then select "Update & Security".
Click on "Troubleshoot", then choose "Additional troubleshooters".
Find "Bluetooth" or "Playing Audio" in the list and click "Run the troubleshooter".
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process and fix any issues found.
By following these steps, you can fix the no sound issue with your Bluetooth speaker. If the problem continues, contact the manufacturer's support or visit a service center for further help.
