Fixes for Modern Warfare Not Launching on PC
Some Modern Warfare players may face launch issues, affecting gameplay. This article offers solutions to fix the problem and improve your experience.
1. Update Graphics Drivers
Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can prevent the game from launching properly. Ensuring your graphics drivers are up to date is crucial for fixing launch issues. It is recommended to use Driver Sentry to automatically detect and update drivers, saving you time and effort while also avoiding the risk of downloading or installing incorrect drivers.
Click the download button to get the latest version of Driver Sentry, then open the software and click "Scan".
After the scan, a list of missing or outdated drivers will appear. Find the graphics driver and click the "Upgrade" button.
Once the update is complete, it is recommended to restart your computer to ensure the updated drivers take effect.
2. Verify Game Files Integrity
Launch the Battle.net client and log into your account.
On the main interface of the client, click the Modern Warfare game icon to enter the game page.
Click the "Options (gear icon)", then select "Scan and Repair".
In the pop-up window, click "Start Scan". The client will automatically check the game files and repair any missing or corrupted files.
Once the repair is complete, restart the game to check if the issue is resolved.

-windowed: Starts the game in windowed mode.
-nofullscreen: Disables fullscreen mode.
After entering the commands, click "Done", then restart the game to check if it launches correctly.

Go to the "Compatibility" tab, check the "Run this program as an administrator" box.
Click "Apply" and "OK" to save the changes.
After that, run the game again to see if the issue is fixed.
5. Check Windows Updates
Click "Start", then select "Settings".
In the Settings window, select "Update & Security".
Under the "Windows Update" tab, click "Check for updates".
If updates are available, the system will automatically download and install them.
Once the update is complete, restart your computer and try launching Modern Warfare again.
6. Reinstall the Game
