6 Methods to Fix Wireless Network Adapter Disabled
Sometimes, Windows users may face a disabled network adapter, blocking wireless connections. This article provides effective solutions to restore the connection.
Method 1: Update Wireless Adapter Driver
Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause wireless adapters to stop working. If the wireless adapter is disabled, checking and updating the driver may be an effective solution. We recommend using Driver Sentry to automatically detect and update drivers, saving time and avoiding the risk of downloading or installing incorrect drivers.
Click the download button to get the latest version of Driver Sentry, then open the software after installation and click "Scan".
After scanning, it will display any missing or outdated drivers. Find the wireless adapter driver in the list and click the "Upgrade" button.
After updating, restart your computer to ensure the updated driver works properly.
Method 2: Enable Wireless Network Adapter via Device Manager
Press Win + X, and select and open "Device Manager".
In Device Manager, expand the "Network Adapters" category.
Find your wireless network adapter, right-click on it, and select "Enable Device".
