When using a Windows computer, some users may encounter the issue where the headphones are plugged in but no sound is output. This article provides several common solutions to help resolve the issue and restore normal audio functionality.


1. Check the Headphone Jack


  • Ensure that the headphone jack is fully plugged into the headphone port.

  • If the computer has multiple audio ports, try plugging the headphones into a different port.

  • Check if the headphone jack is loose or has a poor connection.


2. Update Device Drivers


Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause the headphones to stop working properly, leading to the issue where the headphones are plugged in but no sound is heard. 6. Disable Audio Enhancements

Under the "Playback Devices" tab, select the headphone device and click "Properties".

In the "Enhancements" tab, check "Disable all sound effects" and click "Apply" and then "OK".

7. Update the Operating System
