Methods to Resolve the Memory Management Blue Screen
The Memory Management Blue Screen Error is a common BSOD in Windows that can cause instability. This article offers solutions to fix the error and restore system stability.
1. Check for Driver Updates
Incompatible or corrupted drivers may lead to the Memory Management blue screen error. To fix this issue, you need to ensure that all device drivers are up-to-date. We recommend using Driver Sentry to automatically detect and update drivers, saving time and avoiding the risk of downloading or installing incorrect drivers.
Click the download button to get the latest version of Driver Sentry, install it, and open the software. Then click "Scan".
Once the scan is complete, it will display the drivers that need to be installed or updated. Find the driver that needs updating and click the "Upgrade" button.
After the update is complete, it is recommended to restart your computer to ensure the updated drivers are properly applied.
2. Run the Memory Diagnostic Tool
Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog, type "mdsched.exe", and press Enter.
In the pop-up window, you will see two options:
Restart now and check for problems: This will restart your computer and automatically begin checking for memory issues.
Check for problems the next time I start my computer: This will check for memory issues during the next restart.
If you select "Restart now and check for problems", the computer will restart and automatically begin the memory test. The check may take anywhere from a few minutes to more than ten minutes.
Once the test is complete, the system will display the results. If memory issues are found, you may need to replace the faulty memory module.
If the memory test reports an issue, consider replacing the faulty RAM or performing a more in-depth hardware diagnosis.
3. Repair System Files
Press Windows + S, type "Command Prompt", and select "Run as administrator".
In the Command Prompt window, type the following command and press Enter: sfc /scannow
The system will begin scanning and repairing corrupted system files. This process may take some time, depending on the extent of the file corruption.
After the scan and repair process is complete, the system will notify you if the problem was resolved. If needed, restart your computer and check if the Memory Management blue screen error is fixed.
4. Perform a Disk Check
Press Windows + S, type "Command Prompt", and select "Run as administrator".
Type the following command and press Enter: chkdsk C: /f /r
Here, C: is the partition you want to check. You can run this command for other partitions as well.
The system will prompt you to schedule a disk check for the next reboot. Type "Y" and press Enter, then restart your computer.
The system will automatically check and fix any hard disk errors during startup. Depending on the size of the disk and the number of errors, this process may take some time.
After the disk check is complete, restart your computer and check if the Memory Management blue screen error is resolved.
5. Scan for Viruses and Malware
Ensure that your antivirus software is up-to-date with the latest virus definition library to detect the most recent viruses and malware.
Open Windows "Virus & Threat Protection" or your antivirus software, and choose "Full Scan" or "Quick Scan" to scan the entire system.
After the scan is complete, follow the prompts to delete or quarantine any detected viruses and malware.
Once the scan is finished and viruses have been removed, restart your computer and check if the Memory Management blue screen error is fixed.
6. Update Windows System
Press Windows + I to open Settings, then select "Update & Security".
In "Windows Update", click the "Check for updates" button, and Windows will begin searching for and installing available updates.
If updates are available, the system will automatically download and install them. Ensure that all important updates, especially those related to system stability and security, are installed.
After the update process is complete, restart your computer and check if the Memory Management blue screen error is resolved.
By following the above steps, you can effectively fix the Memory Management blue screen error. If these solutions do not resolve the issue, it is recommended to seek professional technical support.
